1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using StockShelf (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. Description of Service

StockShelf is a portfolio tracking application that allows you to:

• Track your stock portfolio performance and returns
• Monitor multiple portfolios with custom categories
• Import transaction data from documents, photos, and CSV files
• View historical performance charts and analytics
• Calculate rebalancing needs
• Track dividends and dividend reinvestment plans
• Create watchlists and monitor market data

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use StockShelf, you must:

• Create an account using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 13 years of age (or the age of consent in your jurisdiction)

3.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• All activities that occur under your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use StockShelf for lawful purposes related to tracking and managing your personal investment portfolio.

5. Subscriptions

StockShelf offers auto-renewable subscriptions to enhance your portfolio tracking experience.

5.1 Available Subscriptions

StockShelf offers the following auto-renewable subscription tiers:

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change. Actual charges are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.

5.2 Billing Periods

Each subscription tier is available in the following billing periods:

• Monthly: Automatically renews every 1 month
• Annual: Automatically renews every 12 months

5.3 Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged the subscription fee to your App Store or Google Play account within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree that your account will be charged automatically for the renewal period at the then-current subscription price.

5.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to subscription features until the period ends.

5.5 Refunds

All subscription purchases are final. Refunds are handled according to Apple's and Google's refund policies. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Apple Support (for iOS) or Google Play Support (for Android) directly.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of StockShelf is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

StockShelf and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of your portfolio data. By using the App, you grant us a license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

8.2 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, error-free, or without interruption. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

8.3 Market Data

Stock prices and market data are provided by third-party services and may be delayed or inaccurate. We are not responsible for errors in market data or calculations based on such data.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOCKSHELF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits or revenue
• Loss of data or portfolio information
• Investment losses or missed opportunities
• Errors in calculations or data display
• Service interruptions or unavailability

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Premium subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StockShelf, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Deleting your account through the App settings
• Contacting us at info@stockshelf.app

11.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• We are required to do so by law
• You fail to pay subscription fees (for Premium users)

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms in the App
• Updating the “Last updated” date
• Sending you an email notification (for significant changes)

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining Terms shall remain in full force and effect.
